Wyee is a small town in the Lake Macquarie region of New South Wales, Australia, in the City of Lake Macquarie.

Wyee is said to be derived from an Awabakal Aboriginal term for “fire” or “place of bushfires”.

The Awabakal are the traditional people of this area.

Prior to coming to Australia, served as the board chair of a Christian humanitarian organisation
in Indonesia for 10 years and a lecturer at a theological college in Central Java and West Papua.
Currently undertaking a doctoral research focusing on the experiences of Indigenous Australians in theological education.
