Barunga Church

The number of Christians has varied over the years, but always a faithful remnant has remained. The small group of believers are currently supported in ministry by Europeans from Katherine.

Approximately 75 kms S/E of Katherine, this Aboriginal Community was established by the Government in the early 1950’s and is now home to several hundred people from 5 language groups. Several other communities are nearby with whom the people are closely related. AIM first put resident missionaries here in 1974.

PLEASE PRAY
Please pray that increased fellowship and ministry might develop with the Katherine AIM Christians, and that strong local leadership will be established.
