This town with a population of about 350 lies halfway between Alice Springs and Darwin in the NT. It was established as an Army Camp during WWII. There is a central section with an Aboriginal housing area at both ends of the town, with Aboriginal people also living in the central section. Some 25 kilometres north of the town is the alcohol and drug free small community of Marlinja.
AIM has ministered over the years in this area but it has struggled to have established leadership leading a thriving and faithful church.
